Webster Technique

Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that reduces

the interference to the nervous system.   Sacral subluxations cause pelvic muscles to

tighten and  torque, resulting in uterine constraint.  The tightening prevents the baby from

assuming the comfortable vertex position in the latter months of development.  The

Webster Technique  balances out pelvic muscles and ligaments which, in turn, removes

constraints to the woman uterus and allows the baby to get into the best possible position

 for birth.

Benefits of Massage for Your Newborn

Excerpts from Baby’s First Massage

by Teresa Kirkpatrick Ramsey, BSN, LMT

·        Massage has a calming effect which leads to deeper, more restful sleep.

·        Special attention is given to your newborn, increasing the bond between you and your baby.

·        Stimulating the nervous system through the skin may help build muscle tone, coordination, and

     brain functioning.

·        Circulation is improved, which may speed healing of birth-related trauma.

·        Feedings are digested better, which may help the baby gain weight easier and grow at a faster pace.

·        The immune system is stimulated through the skin by at least 5 minutes of rubbing daily.

Call us to learn more about the benefits of massage for your newborn and for yourself  or to schedule a private lesson in Baby's First Massage.
